Jean it is so nice I guess I will have to ask!! I would be VERY interested in a piece like that I would be satisfied if it were a copy, let me know if you are interested in doing something like that. Like you, I love art and I love to draw but I just can not bring myself to draw cars, now any type of cartoon that is a different story. Drop me a pm if you are interested Thanks
That is awesome Jean ! Them cars are way too clean and rust free for cars that have been in a field for years and years . I can only draw in 1D I just can`t get my 3D drawing to look right . You`r drawing looks something that I had in my mind for some model mavericks .
That is awesome, Jean! Now I wonder if I could get you to do something featuring a certain Grabber that spent some time in your garage last year..
Wow! You guys sure are making me blush here. Thanks again for your kind comments. To answer some of your questions as to what I'm going to do with it, I really don't know yet. My husband wants to get it framed and hang it up somewhere. I did have another idea though. If there is enough interest in this painting, maybe I could get prints made up of it for those who would want a copy. There is a small print shop here in town I could contact and see if they could handle something like this. I really have no idea whats involved with making print copies or how much it would cost to do it. Let me know what you all think of this idea and I will see what I can do. Drop me a line at stepside@ptd.net. You are right Elliot. The cars are sort of clean for a bunch of field cars. My original idea was to turn them into a bunch of rusting hulks, but I just could'nt bring myself to do it. Hey Mark, I might have to visit the art store. I'm not sure if they even make a colored pencil in that bright a yellow.
Jean, you never fail to amaze me! If I had that, it'd be up on my wall. There's an artist or two that does similar art of cars left to their end. I've seen advertisements in a couple of car mags. He does examples by make, all Fords or T-Birds, Chevys, etc., and they are quite good. This ranks right up there with his. He commands a good price for them and likely sells them. Sounds like Dale's going to be doing more work by himself while you're at the easel.
Wow, I'm jealous I have to say. That's looking great Jean! I wish I had real pen/paper talent like that, I'm limited to a mouse and keyboard.
