Those are proof that rare doesn't always equate to valuable, that said, I would own it! As I get older my wants have migrated to the odd/obscure cars you don't see everyday.
Mustangs and Camaros both had fastbacks all through the 80s, but that poor Pontiac isnt getting the same result from its fastback. Even if it had a v8, it would be a chevy. GM killed Pontiac. That is just a ghost. I will give it props and kodos for being in decent condition and rare, but thats it.
I used to say some cars were butt ugly but this one is not only butt ugly bit it is hideous. Looks like several cars grafted together. Odds are you will never see another one
LOL and they were pop riveted on to boot... Actually this was better looking than the monte imho... It had a V-8 too...305 cu. in.
I had one of these for about 10 years. Was a fun little car to drive. Really handled well. I couldn't justify swapping out the 305 with a 350 since it ran so well.
I liked these GP and the aero Montes for their freak value. Can't say I like the too-modern wheel choice here. I saw a really nice 1985 GMC Caballero yesterday. (That whole sentence sounds like a contradiction in terms ... lol). It was the GMC version of the El Camino, and this particular one was lowered, had nice paint, and a nice upgrade in wheels and tires. I should have taken a picture. This was at a Firestone store. It was there for some work. I joked with the store manager that, it sounds like a horrible pick-up line, if you say, with a spanish accent ... "Would you like to see my Caballerrrrrrrrro?" LOL
