Since it was a Chevy part, I knew it to be flea bitten and that was why the dog was brought in.:thumbs2:

Nice work Terry, after looking on e-bay I think you right the 70-73 work work better than the 67-69 I suggested

I originally thought a '69 spoiler would look good on a big bumper car. Earl and I went to Year One one Saturday and tried both. The '69 was just a little too big what I was wanting to do.

Now, I think if you flair the quarters and fenders and add some other effects the '69 would work better for that mean, radical look.

Just a heads up for those looking at the wing spoilers...
There were at least 2 different versions by Ford.
70 Stang (often added to 69s) and the 71-73 Stang.
I don't know how these 2 fit into useage at Mercury.
It is likely that Mercs used one, but then again Merc may have used 'version 3'.

Anyway, make sure what style you want before buying one!

One is much taller, I don't recall which... and one is wider.
Also, one has the mounting legs spaced further apart than the other.

    Edit:
    Compare the pics...
Then you can even compare them to the pic posted earlier in this thread.
    All 3 look different.

Personally I like the one on the orange car.
The legs are short, and the wing is almost the same width as the trunk lid.
The earlier pic has a low spoiler like this one, but the wing is very wide compared to the width of the car. Looks out of place. Could very well be a Cyclone part for the wider Merc.
The red one I post here has what I believe is a 70 Stang unit.
Way too tall for a Mav IMO.

...you'll get nothing and like it!! :rofl2: (Sorry, whenever I see a run on "want list" like this one of my favorite Caddyshack quotes seem to come out. If I have to explain, you're not a fan of the movie....)

someone had mentioned that a mid eighties firebird spoiler would be a good match on the board quite awhile ago
