After 7 months of the "never ending winter" here, the '70 Grabber made its way out of storage and I was finally able to cruise to a couple weekend shows. It was very relaxing getting back out in the public to see some old friends and talking to all the people about these old cars. Saturday I was at the Cambria show where the Maverick ended up "Grand Champion - BEST OF SHOW". Being the winner, next year my car gets to be on the dash plaques and trophy toppers. That will be fun to see! This was the 8th Best of Show win for this car and it is quickly becoming a legend among the Wisconsin shows. On Sunday, Linda and I were both able to get away and head over to the Markesan show where the Maverick took 1st in its class (70-79 stock). We then came home and fired up the BBQ for a 28th wedding anniversary celebration cookout. What a great weekend after this winter from .... :evilsmile
Congratulations on another win-Eric. After seeing ur car in Dearborn I can see why u end up w/ many trophies. I am in agreement on this seemingly never ending winter, but, after viewing situations of people in California and some European places - I cannot feel we have it really that bad. Made my first Kruize-In this past Sunday and also enjoyed getting back w/ the Gearheads along w/ having a Tastee- Freeze treat.. Our 1st. car show we're looking forward to Sunday 25th. hosted by regional AACA nr Aurora Illinois abt 70mile ride.
