Found a little info on my first Sprint...
    Vin# mainly.
    2X91F245348
    V8/auto/AC/PS/Radio/Bench/3.00:1

My next Sprint, delivery delayed by Rita... :(
    2K91F162932
    V8/3 speed/ NO OPTIONS

    Quick question...
Why does one VIN have an 'X' after the '2', the other has a 'K'?
Should they not be the same except for the sequential build number?

You ought to get a Marti Report on your new Sprint. I'll bet the 302 w/ 3sp manual column shift is rare.

It'll be even more rare when I put a floor shifter...
I don't think I can even enjoy owning the car shifting like that. I have never done it before.
I want to make tasteful mods, but I want to make it an easy restore if that time should come. I will box up and keep all the original stuff.
I think when it gets a repaint, I might not even have the jams painted. That way at least some of the original 2 tone is retained.

I'd leave it 3 on the tree ... not hard to drive ... my 73 Maverick was a 302 3 on the tree and it really freaked people out watching me drive it! :)

    I have a problem...
I have a toploader 4 speed laying on the garage floor, going to waste.
It is in perfect condition and would swap in there with minimal work and maximal fun. ;)

Ahhh ... in that case go for it .... 3 will get it done ... but 4 is more fun!

Got my registry Mavaholic. Looks great! I'm number 3....Can I email you the name & address of the new owner, next month. I've traded it, for a paint job, on my Comet GT clone, with LDO trim...When I get my car back. He gets the Sprint...

    Update:

    81k original miles

    Equip and options:
    302
    3 speed column
    AM radio

    Dealer:
There is an original Motorcraft locking gas cap on the car.
I thought it was a later added part, but I found out that these exact caps were a dealer installed option.
Therefore, I cannot prove one way or another, it is very possible.
This cap was the only non-original part on the car when I got it. Now I am not sure that is true.
I have the unused Polyglas spare too.

    Noticably missing:
    A/C and P/S
I am glad not to have them.

I will PM the personal info you want for the registry.
    Dave
