In my infinite wisdom I sold my stock tank and now I need some measurements off it. Does anyone have the length, width, front/rear height and location of the filler next on a 1971 gas tank handy?

I can take pictures and measurements when I get home from work this evening. My tank is sitting on top of my ride-on lawn mower in my shed. :D

I couldn't locate my camera (most likely with my wife in town), but there ended up being too many measurements/variables anyway, so I decided to just jot some things down on paper. There is a slight curve/taper to the sides of the tanks, so taking some of the measurements wasn't exactly laser-precise. I used a straightedge where possible, for the most accurate 'field measurements' possible.

If there are any other dimensions you need, or clarification on others, let me know. 001-01.jpg

Paul, you're awesome! This is why I still visit the forum! Seriously, I'm saving this sketch for future use as well because you know someone will ask again someday. Thank you so much.

You're welcome! Just be aware that there is at least a 1/16" wiggle room on those dimensions due to the curves. Good Luck, I can't wait to see the results in your build thread!! :thumbs2:
