Stubborn leaf spring bolt

    the arch can be less if the spring leafs are stiffer

    You cannot compare old to new springs outta the car and on the ground. Get em in the car then see how it sits.

    a stiffer spring will not compress as much as a softer spring. so even though the newer spring has less arch to it, if its a stiffer spring the ride height will not be as low as if its the same stiffness as the old spring.

    I'm gonna install one and see. I called S-n-T to ask if I can exchange them if I'm unhappy, even after they are installed. They said yes, so Ill get one on when I can, and see how it looks

    the two different springs will fight each other. leaf springs do not like to twist. when you tighten the u-bolts down on the differential it will link the springs and they will fight with each other to get rid of the twist. i would expect the results to have the ride height end up being between where the springs would sit when matched.
