    d'oh!

    I think that the original owner of my Comet had them because he kept the car around to tow his boat. (Must have been a pretty small boat ....) So, I can somewhat justify the air shocks. It never had tires hanging out past the fenders.

    I will say that the dead air shocks did fine for years on the street and the dragstrip ... I have no idea why .... lol.
