say you run and aftermarket external fuel pump on your frame rail by your tank than run the return line to a "T" junction between the tank and the pump. is what I'm trying to say.

You would have heated fuel entering the inlet of the pump, potentially picking up enough heat to boil at least causing hot start issues if not running problems.

Oh so you basically have one gravity feed line from the tank going to a t

one end of the t goes to the inlet on the fuel pump

one end of the t is the return line coming from the fuel rails

    ?????????????????????

IDK thats a head scratcher, sounds like something my brother in law would try LOL

I'm not sure how that would work honestly, not sure if it would just starve itself out and the return line just start pushing the gravity feed fuel back into the tank as well, basically air locking itself out. not sure

Seriously the adapter piece I was describing earlier is only 10-15 bucks through jegs

i will usually punch a hole into the gas tank with a nail. then take a center punch and use to enlarge hole to the point where i can tap it with a 3/8s npt pipe thread tap. put grease in the fluets of the tap to catch the shaveings. the metal pushed in around the hole gives you enoung material to get some good threads. then put 3/8s pipe fitting in with red lock tite to seal it in place. ive done this many times with no leaks.
