I think you are measuring the bolts in a circumference but the measurements they refer to are diaganal, across the diameter of the bolt circle. I think we already confirmed it is a 91 5.0 HO motor with a 50 oz. balance. Before going to far and ordering stuff check the snout of the convertor like Frank said. Measure the outside diameter of the solid steel protrusion coming out of the center of the convertor towards the motor. then measure the inside diameter on the hole in the back of the crankshaft. The convertor snout should fit inside the hole in the crank. If the motor is still in and you want to measure before pulling stuff apart tehn go to the parts store and ask to see a pilot bushing for a 91 Mustang 5-speed. the pilot bushing goes inside the rear hole of the crankshaft. You can measure it and if it is the same size as the convertor snout then you are good to go.
also check how long the snouts are... remember...the 157 and 164 tooth flexplates are different more so than just the amount of teeth...
kk this is all good information.. so the starter napa sold me is for a 157t flywheel.. but he said its for a 77mustang II... lol correct me if im wrong but wasnt the c4's in mustang II's different, as in smaller then a regular c4?
any opinions ?? http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Ford-289-351W-C4-AOD-Transmission-Block-Plate,26255.html http://www.summitracing.com/parts/P...|Transmission+Type|C-4|Transmission|Automatic
Ya my bad, I said Fywheel too There arent many choices in 50oz balance flaxplates for c4. I still think the two I linked earlier will be fine as long as you get the right size.
let's recap... you have a...'91 5.O with an C-4 from a 351...correct? the 5.O is a 50 Oz. motor? is the C-4 a 157 or 164 tooth flexplate? ......
correct.. and i bought the start i need.. and im buying these.. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HAY-12-040/ http://whttp://www.summitracing.com/parts/PMA-PA26445/ww.summitracing.com/parts/PMA-PA26445/
