swaying issues

    i have a 77 maverick that I cant keep on the road wants to sway all over im hoping you guys can give me a clue what to fix plus hitting bumps makes for a rough ride any help would be appreciated

    You need to give more info on what steering & suspension you have had examined by alignment shop, and/or what you have replaced. Sounds to me, you have an issue w/ worn parts.

    Mavericks never handled great from the factory, but as old as it is, your shocks may be worn out, and your stablizer bar bushings are likely shot. Polyurethane improves performance there.

    Agreed, worn steering and/or suspension parts will cause poor handling, pulling, wandering etc.

    If you're not familiar with steering and suspension, have a competent shop look at it. Unfortunately those are often few and far between, BUT a shop that handles early Mustang should have no problem. Most of the components are same for both.

    Can you do the work or have to hire someone? There are a lot of pieces that wear out. If you have trouble with going straight, you might start with tie rod ends and the idler arm bushing.
