thanks for all the compliments guys. I couldn't have done it without help from my dad and a good friend of ours. As far as what color I am going to paint it, I am thinking red right now but that won't be for a couple years. As of right now the lights aren't even wired up but yes I do plan on making them sequential. I am looking forward to being able to drive it again, haven't driven it in about 4 months. I am waiting for my new shifter to come in, it's on backorder, and wire up the taillights, then it will be ready to go.
I can't wait to see how big of a difference the mods I did over the summer make
    -went from a 3-speed to a 4-speed toploader
-went from an 8" rear with 3.00 gears to a disk brake 9" with 3.73 gears
    -Hooker 6901 headers JetHot coated
-new exhaust system, flowmaster mufflers, H pipe, 2.5" pipe all the way back
    -cal-trac traction bars
I will be posting pictures of the underside of the car soon, next time I have it in the air.
    Jason

Here's a couple of shots of my latest mock-up. My next step will be to actually bond the fiberglas panel down and mold in the edges. The gas cap I'm using is a 71 Mach-1 pop-open.

But I don't plan on going backwards!!! :D Seriously, I don't want to clutter my valance up so I'm not even going to worry about them. Heck, look at all of the older cars that never even had them.

One Question, why is everyone hung up on the reverse lights? Is it becuase you need them for the safety inspection? I myself don't drive a whole lot backwards at night to need them :D

Yeah, here in PA if your car came from the factory with backup lights you have to have them and they have to function. I got bounced for that during my first safety inspection with the Shelby tail lights 31 years ago.

Here's the latest shot...all bonded in and almost ready for the paint shop. I still have a lot of block sanding to do on the car and hopefully will be ready to shoot it within a week or two. Got a big show coming up Oct 3rd, (Cruisin The Coast) and I gotta have it ready to go. Already about 5000 registered cars.

Very nice ... looks factory. We only have emissions in GA ... no safety inspections. I don't have my reverse lights hooked up either ...

The only reason I need reverse lights is because I can't see a dang thing behind me when I'm backing up at night (rear window is tinted). Otherwise, I wouldn't even care. I certainly don't want to run into anything when I'm backing up...
