I'm watching that second one. It was more then likely black from the factory and probably came on an F100 Sport Custom.

Some did come with black center caps, and the balack ones look better. Dan, you should pull that thing back off and spray some black vinyl dye on the grip and repaint the center cap black. It's a nice contrast with stainless steel spokes...:2cents:

    Found one today

I went to one of the yards today near me just browsing and found another one . I was gonna get it but i didnt have a socket big enough so Im going back in the morning and get it. I may put it on my car cause its the leather wrapped instead of vinyl. The only thing I saw wrong with it was it had a crack in the lens and a little rust on the spokes.

You said you cleaned yours up with steel wool. Did it have surface rust and if it did . Did it come off OK. If not I figure I can just paint it black like the one I have. Also do you have a part number for the lens. Maybe Green Sales has one.

Also he had a few cars with some decent hood lip trim on them. Anybody had any luck cleaning and polishing them? There was a small bumper four door that had a nice straight rear bumper with guards . I may get it also. Not sure though cause it had rust and he wanted 35 bucks for it. I couldnt see the front bumper well as it was parked right up against a truck.

It had spotty surface rust ... I used 1000 grit paper and 000 steel wool to clean it up - looks pretty good. I had a can of Eastwood Bare Metal Clearcoat layingaround and cleared the spokes with that.

Wow. I remembered the rim-blow but I forgot all about the horn that you pushed the signal lever in.

Man, I'm old. My long term memory seems to be fading fast and my short term memory is what were we talking about?

I went and got the one I found the other day but when I got it off it had a lot of rust on the backside. So after wire brushing and sanding all the rust off I primed it and sprayed it Semi-gloss black. Looks pretty decent. The leather is in great shape so Im just gonna use some black leather dye on it and probably put it on my car when I get a emblem from Seth. I guess it was worth $20. Horn button has a crack in the lens.

That's awesome. The real leather one I have needs to be re-done, which will cost $180 (only paid eight dollars for it in the first place).

For now, I have a vinyl-wrapped one on my car. It cost me $140 off eBay. That was after losing the first 4 that I had bid on, trying to get cheaper...
