T5 on 1970 maverick 250cid auto

    Yes I've seen those transmissions and the angle of the mount is much more drastic than what mine is right now.

    I just checked and mine is rotated the opposite direction. I can't find my angle finder so I don't know to what degree

    And I found my angle locator. It's 5* clockwise looking from the back. I also had another T5 from a mustang and it has the same angle on the mount.

    -169 = 86.5 - 89 Mustang and Capri. It's only rated at 265 lb ft?
    Next time I'm under mine I'll have to look closer, although my T5 was built by Tremec (-251 tag number) after they bought the line from Borg Warner and is considered an aftermarket trans.

    Is yours the -249 or -251? As I understand it, the T5Z never came in a Mustang from the factory. The -249 was built by Borg Warner and the -251 was made by Tremec for aftermarket sales.

    Thanks for that link. I thought for 86.5 to 89 they should have had a higher torque rating too?It looks like the the ones to have are the 91 to 93 mustang units with 300 ft
    Lb rating.

    we built the crossmember for Earls 69.5, don't know what T-5 he is running.
