    You may need to adjust the vacuum modulator on the trans to prevent this from happening. :hmmm:

    adjusting the modulator will not make it shift later at WOT. The modulator only controls part throttle shifts.
    You can put in a 40-2 TransGo reprogramming kit and you can hold it in second to any RPM and then shift manually into 3rd.
