Good luck. I've run NHRA tracks for almost 10 years with no door panels. What class are you running? :)

Good deal! Sounds like its close. My car always worked best at around 12psi in the tires. As far as the timing goes well, they say on raceone85.com that theres no difference from gas to e85.

Sounds like you and I need to swap converters. Mine is a 10 inch that stalls 3,800 in my car, you surely have more torque than me so maybe it would go about 4,000 or so in your car.
I need one that will stall around 4,500 in mine.

Do you happen to recall what your water temperature was after your burnout or launch? then after your pass.

1976 maverick soon to be 460 powered...project on hold.
This was at Milan dragway,Milan Michigan. This was quite a few years ago, the tech guy read me the riot act about not having door panels in my car and wouldn't let me run. It was just a 13 second car and I was just running bracket classes...must just have been this tracks rule.

pulled in the burnout at 145 deg. pulled to line at 160 deg. ,finsh was 175 deg. ,coming up return it lowered down to 160 deg. ,oh and what brand is your 10 inch conv., what motor do you have and rear gear ,and tire ,what do you think on my maverick i figure it will run between 11.70s and 11 90s 1/4 mile ,maybe alittle more with some tuning, with the short tires ,and 4.10 gear im thinking its to low for the c4 1st gear ,the motor is all tourqe ,i think ill need at least a 28 tall tire ,id like to put a glide in it to be honest ,anyone know what it cost to buy the full adapter kit for a glide

My Car has a 9.2 to 1 compression 308 with victor jr. heads and X-303 Ford cam.
I run 4.11 gears with 26x8.5 slicks. It will run 7.70`s at 90 mph with a 1.77 best 60ft.:sarcasticclap: (It REALLY needs more converter!) just for the record it runs 12.20 @ 112.3 mph. in the quarter.

My trans is a c-4 with a reverse manual valve body and it and the converter are from Godley`s transmissions in Moultry Georgia. http://www.godleytrans.com/

And YES I think your car will run into the elevens with some more tweaking.:yup:

Every car is different, but I would say 11.90's would be a good guess. If you go with the glide keep the 26" tall tire. The powerglide will probably slow it down to be honest. If you go with the 28" M/T it only measures 27" tall so not a huge change in gear. Maybe try the 28's first then some converter tweaking.
