My how this place has grown!

Sooooooo finally have had enough of looking at my car parked in the garage. Decided it's time. I have a few questions.

First and foremost. How is everyone?

    2. Need some black carpet for my 70's selfish floorpan. Where's the best place to find one?

    3. I plan on driving my car relatively regularly now since not driving it isn't nearly as fun. I'd like to see better at night. What has everybody found to be the best mod/fitment of newer technology?

    4. A few years back I picked up a 351w. I'm currently debating with myself whether or not to go for that throatier exhaust note, or spend the money on heads for my 302.

    5. Driving an automatic has become increasingly dull nowadays. Has anybody put together a concise t5 parts list that outperforms all other swap lists? (Reliability, durability, ease of install)

    6. How in the world do I search the boards more efficiently?

Thanks everyone. Hope this past decade has brought everybody a whole lotta success and achievement with your mavs.

Welcome back to the site from northeast Ohio!!!

#4 I will tell you my experience with my Comet having had a 351W with `69 351W heads and larger valves, Air Gap intake, Holley carb, larger than stock camshaft, headers and unmodified shock towers. Be of mind you cannot remove the heads from our cars with a 351W and unmodified shock towers without pulling that engine.

All other things being the same, my current CHI 302 is much quicker than my 351W combination. As far as sound, I'm of the belief they sound about the same because my 302 roller cam uses the 351W firing order.

Don't forget to post your car with pictures and detail in the Garage section of the site.

I beg to differ with you pertaining to changing the heads on a 351W. I have had my 351 based 421 in my car for about 10 years and changed the heads about 5 years ago. I don't remember any problems at all. At the worst, you might have to disconnect the motor mount and jack up the engine one side at a time. I am also a firm believer that there is no substitute for cubic inches. Just my two cents.
