I hope you reinforced the upper mounting points for the coilovers in the rear. If not, you may have problems later on tearing the upper mounts off...

Terri, have you put the upolstery and padding back on the rear seat yet? I was wondering if you can feel those top link channels when you sit on the seat?

Love those rear suspension photos too. :thumbs2:

You do realize that you are going to get this all dirty actually driving it:cry:

Dave, Dave, Dave.. You crack me up!! I can see that Im going to have to work to convince you that mavericks were made to be painted bright colors-- including BL-INk ( thats the color of my car). It honestly looks so much different in person than it does in pics. The blue tones do not come through in pics for some reasons. I have had a bunch of "manly" men, say it is a cool color... so I am sure one day you will come around to my way of thinking too. haha;) i am guaranteed to never see another car painted this color...( youre probably thankful that there arent a bunch out there huh? )
As for the tank, it was just cleaned up and sprayed black-- no fancy product used-- I think 40 years of build up and unknown unremoveable stuff have created the unique looks that it has.
thanks for checking out my pics and for your comments.. Be prepared to learn to love pink :) Im gonna work on convincing you.:D

The seat is all back together and to be honest, if I if I jsut sit, no I cant feel them, if I bounce real hard up and down I can feel the brace, but there are few things I need to say to that.. 1) Im not a lightweight girl ( unfortunately) . 2, the seat really doesnt have any padding left. 3.If you want to ride with me, I would advise you to be the first to call "shotgun" then you wont have to worry. :) I plan on having the seat reupholstered to match the new front bucket Corbeau seats I bought and will probably have them add some padding to the seat in case my kids have to ride back there. But overall, I think the seat is fine for kids-- they will never feel that brace.

As for gettting it dirty when I drive. yeah, thats gonna suck. thanks for pointing that out.. ughhh I have a 1/4 mile gravel driveway that I am going to have to inch my way down very slowly. Guess thats why Griotts is in business -- it all cleans up.
thanks for checking out my project..

There is a dedicated upper coil over bracket that is welding to various points of the factory body and chassis. This will be a strong set up for years of abuse. It is a very clean and complete layout.

:tiphat: Very, very nice. Can you install the engine with the headers on? Can you tell about the headers. Tube size, collector size and who makes them? Thanks in advance.

Sure.. they are JBA midlength ceramic coated headers. I ordered them from Summit for $572.00. The rest of the info on them is listed below. My best friend who is helping me, and I were looking at whether we could put the engine in with them on last night. We decided there was room, but we would most likely take the drivers side off so we dont hit the painted brake booster and mess up the paint. It'll just be easier to have that much more room to work with. Hope that helps answer your question.
    Thanks

Just wanted to say that you are doing an awesome job.

The color is pretty cool ... Pink can have some great blue highlights.... is it a candy paint? ... or more like Mystic?

After reading your reply to this ... if you get an LDO rear seat, the padding is at least an inch thicker than the regular uphostery, and is formed into "buckets" somewhat, too.

thanks Jeff for the seat info. I might look at those seats as an option too. I like to check out all my possibilities. As for the paint-- not a mystic paint but it has a lot of metalic flake in it and then blue pearl.. for some reason the pics just dont pick it all up and then it looks like its just a bright pink-- .. but that"ll just have to be an in-person bonus, I guess.
thanks for your comments and checking out my project.
