The Heart of Texas Mustang Club is having their annual car show, so once again, I would like to invite everyone to attend the Texas Mini-Meet this year in Waco, TX on Saturday, September 23rd. (See flyer).

If I could get some commitments out of a handful (say 4 or 5 cars) of Maverick owners, the Mustang club have promised me in years past, to make Maverick plaques and create a Maverick class. The problem I usually have down here is I can't get any commitments, so they have never made any plaques.

Hope to see you all there!

Please email me or private message me if you are going to be able to make it!

(Sorry for the late notice, but they don't post a date until well into the summer).

I thought Waco was a lot farther away from me than it actually is.

Compared to the 1000 miles to Owensboro, 160 miles is nothing. Pffft!

I'm game if youre game, Ed.

Maybe we can get Great Scott and the other Houstonians to help represent.

Tim, you're are always welcome to come on down to Texas! :Handshake

We could use the support of diehard members like you, willing to drive long distances to get here!! If you were to drive the 1300 miles to Waco, we might have 4 cars at the meet! :D

I'm trying but can't promise yet. Can it be unfinished and on a trailer? Can it be a Comet pulled by a Dodge?

Hey Tim, it's about 5 hrs or so from me. If you make it here to my place I will drive us the rest of the way. Just something to think about. My house is empty also, don't know if the lights will be on at that time. If they are on at that time you are welcome to stay there if you need a place. My home is located in Marietta, Ok and is about 1 mile from I35. I live with my girlfriend up the street.
I guess since there are several rooms I can invite others to stay there if they need it also. It's free...bring a cot or sleeping bags. I could also fit up to 4 more passangers in my truck, 5 if my girlfriend doesn't go. But you all have to vote for my car:rofl2: :D

Blu told me about this yesterday, I had not heard of it before that.

I think we can make it...it is the wife's birthday, so we can make a weekend getaway out of it.

Anyone know a good hotel to stay at? I have only driven through Waco, never stopped for a visit, so don't know much about the town.

I will trailer mine and bring it up. It won't be pretty, but it will run. I heard last year that someone lived near there and was offering to let us leave the trailer at his place and drive the last couple miles...who was that? I will try to do a search and figure out who that was...

I'm sure you've googled it but here's some info: http://www.wacocvb.com/
I talked with Ed (fan2488 or something hard to rememer) yesterday. I'm pretty sure he's going to trailer his also. We intend to caravan.

I checked the route from Angleton to Waco. It looks like you'll be driving within 1-1/2 mile of the house. You're welcome to join the caravan (there's power in numbers - and friends who can help you if you need it).
Cool!

We'll have to get together to find a rondevouz point (looks like my place might be a good meeting place; 1-1/2 miles off 290).

It's not that long of a drive for me. Angleton is a little farther away though.

How bout we drive up Sat morning (early) and come back to our place afterwards?

You guys can spend the night here (along with any other parties in the caravan). I'm not sure how Anna wants to :dancingpa, but there's a watering hole close to the house. If enough of these :drink: are consumed, she might even get to hear me Karaoke! :biglaugh:. I'll bet "Party Animal Ed" can :bananaman a jig too!

There are other bars with live bands close too. Or, if there's enough of us, we can party here at the house. 'Just not sure what would she'd want. Toss it around and let me know.
