It just figures that when some rain gets the salt off the roads here, and I have some free time to cruise my starter would crap out.
when it rains, it pours. i know the feeling... i have my '73 sitting outside but i dont have a garage so i have to wait for decent days to work on it. so far, it hasnt gotten much attention
Yeah, my pride and joy is hiding from the rain out here under a mess of tarps right now. Even if I had the starter in my hands right now I couldn't do jack about it while this rain keeps up. Good to know I'm not alone in any case.
I had mine out for a bit yesterday, ran like a top in 40deg weather, as soon as it got cold, forget it, I think I need to hook up that choke
Well, I hope you get it ironed out. My parents had a Duster with a choke problem. They ended up jamming a small notebook into it to hold the choke plate open to get it to start.
