There hasn't been a lot of progress in getting members to post their Mavericks/Comets in the Garage! We have gone from 48 to 54 vehicles. Sure is a shame to waste this excellent source for information due to lack of participation.

So I have what's probably going to be a dumb question. Is the garage only for finished projects? Or can we update it like we would do with a build thread?

    That is a valid question

You can use the garage for whatever you like and create both a build thread and a garage entry. For example, you could start a build thread and then add an entry to the garage and link to the build thread. Over time you could update the garage entry at certain states of the build.

We now have 58 members who have parked their cars in the Garage. I'd sure like to understand the reasoning for any member not wanting to put your Maverick or Comet with detailed information and pictures in the Garage?

Stephan, I have 3 flags on vehicles in the Garage that have been there for a couple of weeks. I have no idea with what posts they are associated. Can't the Garage flags be linked with their respective posts like the flags associated with the alerts?

I had the same problem and I think I figured it out that when a discussion about a vehicle or an update was made it showed up as a new entry (flag). Your request would certainly ease finding out what is new about which car.

When you click on new posts, you will see all the new items posted on the forum. Next click on the New Garage Items tab and view the new items. Each time you view a new garage item, the flag count should go down.

I threw my hat in the ring and posted up some stuff in my "garage". It certainly has the potential to build quite a database of different models and configurations. I guess I hadn't looked into it that much until I read this thread...

Good job @Hotrock for drumming up the support!!

I would sure like to know how the two members posted in the Wheel and Tire section of the Garage having 10" wide wheels on the rear of their vehicles were able to accomplish that feat? One has pictures to show it can be done and it looks great!!! :yup:

We only have 15 members posting tire and wheel information in the Garage. If I'm not mistaken, tire and wheel questions are probably toward the top of the list of information requests on this site.

If you have not checked out the tire and wheel information in the Garage you will be amazed how Stefan has arranged it to get data fast. It took me less than one minute to find two vehicles with 10" wide wheels and one picture. In addition I have the option to contact both members via conversation to request more detail (I chose to use this thread to communicate my request for information from these two members in hopes they will respond and put more detail in their Garage write-ups) due to the user friendly ability of the Garage. Try to get that information that quick via a thread!

Imagine if we had a lot more participants in the Wheel, Tire and Time Slip sections with detailed information in their vehicle write-ups? Especially those members with unique solutions. :yup:

We could sure benefit from more members posting their cars in the Garage with pictures and detailed write-ups. We now have 63.

TBH, I hadn't really dug through that section very deeply and seems like it would streamline searches very well. Sometimes it seems like I have barely enough time for life and actually working on my Comet but I will try to add it sooner than later. Couple of mock-up pictures here and there.. mostly of engine parts is all I can offer anytime soon. lol

Ha.. you're right Everett. I should be talking less and posting more pictures. Might help keep Frank from falling asleep during my posts.

Parked my car in the garage.. more new questions. When I uploaded images into the garage the forum would not allow me to use my own gallery/attachment pictures?

I had to actually dig through my old attachments..resave images to my computer.. and then upload them into the garage. Is that right?

And IIRC, the image upload says 10 images maximum allowable limit? Is that PER upload.. or PER the total for the entire garage gallery?
