I never saw how it sat with the motor. This one I got with the motor pulled. It seems to sit high though compared to the 72. Thanks for the link to the suspension/steering. I plan on doing everything eventually..I just wanted to know what would be a whole lot easier with the motor out to go ahead and tackle.

Started doing some initial sanding since I don't have much else to do for awhile on it.

This was underneath. Not too bad...

Got some rusty mess on the front of the hood. What is the best method of fixing stuff like this.

Also..for a feller on a budget who doesn't already have a nice air compressor setup.

What's the best tools to sand a car? I don't care to spend a few hundred on tools..but dost know that I can easily afford a compressor setup.

I've got an electric orbital sander and a grinder.. please advise

Sanding lacquer is a b####. You're better off having it media-blasted or using paint stripper. Either way is messy, but far more effective, and sandpaper is expensive.

    Aircraft Remover (brand).

Make sure you follow all instructions (especially pertaining to safety).

Not that I'm a pro or anything but I've found that if you score/scratch (rough up) the area to be stripped the aircraft remover or kleen strip works better. I've used both on wheels, body panels etc...

Thanks for the tip kboldin. After I finish stripping the paint off with my wire cup I will be going to purchase some aircraft stripper.
