yeah, but first we need that some movie action hero uses one instead of the regular gto, camaro, chevelle, or mustang. then having a little more attention from the people is that mavericks would get popular enough for some to do a mav only mag. but that's far from happening... i guess.
We can only wish for something like this in the future, and a Maverick movie car all done up for speed and a few movie car chases, yeah would love to see it.
I like em with 70's era stuff in em and a stock look, can you imagine a stock looking Mav with a Boss 302 or Boss 351/351 H.O. in it, can you say sleeper? x2 C'mon we have magazines for bronco's, there was a Fairlaner, 5.0L mags, where is the Maverick one? If we can't get a Mav one, atleast a compact Ford one, Mav's, Comet's, Falcon's, Pinto's, Bobcat's, Mustang II's, German-built Capri's, hell, maybe even the german-built Fiesta's, I guess Fairmont's and Zephyer's would work too, but I believe they were considered as a mid-size.
Our friend Jeff Ford (used to work for Mustangs & Fast Fords) now works for Legendary Ford Magazine. He is going to be at the Silver Springs show this weekend in Florida. I spoke with him about coming by to see the Maverick guys and he said he would. Never know...might get a little coverage this weekend as Jeff does like the Mavericks/Comets.
wow! that'd be great! the more attention to mavs the more publications, coverage, aftermarket stuff, etc
Center Grill Lights What car are the lights in the center of the grill from? I really like that look, I might try it out. Thanks.
Yes, Jeff Ford did make the show. He did three photo shoots while there, each one involving Mavericks! We will let you know if he comes through for us.
I can only refer you back to post #26. Haven't heard anything else yet. However in the latest issue which I received about a week ago there is a very tiny pic of one of these Mavericks on page 36. It's not meant to give this particular car any coverage yet but it does prove that he didn't lose the photos.
I big side of me hopes that they never become popular, They are going way up in price as it is here in texas. I know that popularity will bring more aftermarket parts but that will only take the fun out of mods. Just like the chevy Nova, these cars were considered cheap, plain looking, poorman's sports cars and look at them now.
