Actually we are wanting to drop both front and rear, does anyone know the widest tire we can fit in the stock wheel well on 15" rims? The car is going to need some rubber to get it to hook up or I suppose have a set of slicks on rims to swap out when and IF ever needed........this is of course "down the road thinking" as I don't see him being ready to run the 1320 all out for awhile, also Larry what size are those tires in your pic? they look big, is the car sitting stock height, what kind of power are you putting out in comparison to what you think we might be putting out and do those tires hook up?

The wheel backspacing will determine how wide of tire you can run under the stock wheel-well.

To answer your question, that pic is about 12 years old. Those were old bias-ply tires with a letter size ("N" maybe? I can't remember). I also had air-shocks on there to provide clearance (I didn't know any better at the time). I am now running 14" Magnum-500s with 235/60s.

I happen to know that with a 3-3/4" to 4-inch backspace, you can run a 245/60-15 with no problem.

I have 235 60/15 (almost 10") on the rear, and 205 60/15 on the front. But I have a pretty deep backspaced rim so I have 2" spacers on the back and 1 1/2" spacers on the front.

OK, Thanks if we can fit a 245/60 in there that will be enough and we do have that much backspace I'm certain but will verify to make sure

OK Thanks for info, all this helps, I don't want to run spacers so whatever we can fit with what we have is what we want to do.

I actually like that paint and would like to redo it actually however the kiddo has other idea's, will will see as paint is a little ways off, winter on the way and gotta get heater core in and get it winterized, I know the blower works but as for heat/defrost settings I think we have some work to do.

Something that is odd, in those pics it doesn't show as it's faded but it has the black stripes down the sides with 302 at the top of the stripe, then it drops down and runs towards the back, I have seen the scheme on alot of those brazilian Mav's if I remember right.
