I have one of the Exploder intakes as well as a Performer RPM that I was lucky enough to grab for 200 off craigslist. I think the RPM is good for a little more power and RPM but it isn't as good as the RPM2. Looking forward to getting my turd running!
I think its this CAM https://www.summitracing.com/parts/tfs-51403002/make/ford I got this car with this motor from my good friend Mashori on this board. I did not spec the cam. Also I deal with building cars all day and keeping specs like cams straight in my head is challenging. I just remember when this motor was built 10 years ago, the tfs cam selections were different than they are now. Im about 90% confident about it being the above cam. That trickflow intake does look to have the perfect power band that I am looking at. Summit shows it backordered till January!!!
A common theme nowadays with even the most common parts. That intake will match perfectly with that cam bud.

Its been almost a year since I have updated this. Definitely have made a few changes. I have now taken the car to some track days along with still autocrossing it. It has a Holley digital dash now I built an offset 3 link rear suspension for it. Almost every mounting point added for the upper link and the coilovers has failed. I have had to reinforce them and build a lot more structure into the car to make it hold up. I modified the the upper control arms I made last year. I shortened the upper and moved the inner pivot out an additional inch to create more camber gain. This is the TCP control arm that would bend up from their design and that I have modified several times. It became a real mess! Here is the new control arm I made. Its way stronger! I made my own rack and pinion system. Its fast. Only about 5/8 of a wheel turn till the big tires hit the frame. Its awesome for autocross. The car now has 295/30-18 tires on 18x10.5 wheels all the way around. I have made a custom hood with heat extractors. Its currently trapped in paint jail. I hope to get it back soon. For the motor since last years freshen up, a few things have happened. I ran it on 91 octane gas most of the last year. For a track day at Chuckwalla in December I switched it to e85. This was my second track day ever. At the first one at the same place, on a 90+ degree day, the motor would build heat till it was over 220. So I added an oil cooler, and the heat extractor hood. E85 runs cooler also. On that second track day, 204 was the highest I saw and it would cycle down to 194. The temp that day was in the low 70s. I went to Buttonwillow last May and it was high 80s I believe and the motor stayed in that 195-205 range. I had the motor dyno tuned right before that and it made 409hp to the tire. Thats up over 25 horse more than it did on the low compression on 91 octane. Also it was flatlining at 5100 rpm. That was due to the explorer intake. So I then went to order a trick flow intake and they were not available!!! A buddy had given me a Holley system max lower that had a broken fuel rail boss, so I ordered an upper for that. That was back ordered two months but came in a month. I welded up the intake and put it on. Now the motor pulls past 6500. I need to dyno tune it again and see what the new number is. Not bad for a 331! Those are the significant changes.
