Probably gonna be after christmas before i can do anymore to the car. Got a hernia surgery done 2 days ago so i must be sure im totally healed before i do anymore heavy activity.

So parts sitting in the garage waiting are a rear end to rebuild, a front end rebuild kit [stock], disc break conversion, new wheels and tires.

After that ill order my 347, transmission and gear vendors overdrive.

Stay tuned for 2 project vids as soon as i can sit at the computer and do some editing without pain.

Where U get the 331? Who built it? Planning to get my C4 rebuilt soon, shifts fine, has shift kit, just tired of leaking on my floor. What converter (stall speed) in the C4 build?

Hey. Im ordering mine from jegs. The company is blue print engines. For a 415hp/425tq its $5127 or something very close to that. It was just shy of $5k but i guess metal prices and all.

They seem to have a good reputation and have been featured on a few hotrod shows i watch. I think warranty is 3yrs. But its ready to run when they deliver.

Oh and the hernia is above my navel. So my rear is fine and full of the required fluids....wait......

Chip...for the trans ill probably go with a street fighter version. They seem tough and really well built. Will go with a 2000 stall. The 347 builders recommend a 2k-2500stall.

The real fun after that will be the gear vendors overdrive unit. Evil will be happening with that thing.

    Hello Everett:
We built our own 331 here at our shop in Deland , FL. Purchased our own EAGLE Crank , New Connecting Rods, Pistons , Bearings .. everything new . We had Deland Auto Parts ' boil ' the block , then bore the Piston Holes and align-bore it before we assembled the engine. Dr.Bill did he assembly and he is a master engine-builder .. Never had an engine fail that HE built ! ALL of the engines he built ( Seven so far ) performed awesome . I'm not sure WHO I would contact for a NEW stoker engine .. there's not too many people out there that really CARE , and that will do a PROFESSIONAL build without taking ' Short Cuts ' that the OWNER would eventually have to deal with. Mojo if you're serious about the C4 send me a text , or call me . I may be able to help . Hope you're doing OK . I'm looking forward to the NEXT HRPT .(LORD willing !! ) Hope to see you on THAT one .

You might check out Performance automatic for the trans stuff. It's quite a bit better than any street fighter stuff and the camshaft should dictate you stall speed.

I would go with PA performance for the transmission, way better than a TCI street fighter...
