    I just use my arm torque wrench and get them good-n-tite.

    Tires and wheels mounted and full weight of car on the ground. I had to use a 1/4" spacer so I'm hoping they run smooth and there's no vibration. Gap at leaf spring is now slightly over a half inch. Had to also cut out the bump stop mount.

    Exactly Craig, My current daisy wheels are unilug... no issues for 19yrs and that’s just on my car. They ran for 20yrs prior on a road race gt350 lol. Just like everything, check the torque of lug nuts every so often maybe 2x a year

    Though I do tend to cuss a bit when I rotate cause lining up the lugs with backing washers sometimes takes longer than standard wheels but you just hand rotate wheel while cars jacked up and hand tight all to center wheel before torquing

    so far i agree. ive yet to drive on them. but once ive learned how to install them, they seem ok so far.

    Nice video series. Put a double folded shop rag on jack stands next time when rotating it won’t mar off your fresh paint on axle tubes. But i’m guessing you had that aha moment like I did the first time I did it too lol

    Got all the new wheels and tires on. I love the stance.

    Wheels cragar ss front 15x7 4" vs...rear 15x8 4.25bs with 1/4 spacer.

    Tires front 235/60/15....rear 275/60/15

    She’s Bad! But watch those rocks/gravel on the paint hopefully it doesn’t sling any and chip. I couldn’t run anything so wide cause with 4 people in my car it would rub, or on a hard launch at track. Does look tough though congrats

    It's funny how different our cars are. I have a 4.5" back space and it was close to the spring but not touching. I used a .25" spacer and it works great. So on my mav a 4.25" wheel would be perfect...

    The wheels are fine..but the tires ballooned out more than I thought. Perhaps a differnt brand wouldnt ballon out as much. I like it though. Really beefy looking.

    Finally testing out the Wilwood disc brakes. Seems kinda mushy even after bleeding twice with pure fluid coming out. I suppose manual disc were mushy back then and I just didnt realize it. Using a new MC from a disc 77 maverick.

    I don't think they should be mushy, regardless of the year. Did you bench bleed the MC? I have front "Granada" disk/rear drum, no mush.
    Some of the more knowledgeable folks may chime in on this issue.

    Yes..bench bleed. Used MC rod from my 70 stock MC. The rod that came with the new MC was about 3/8 longer and made the pedal almost touch the dash under the steering wheel. The 70 rod made it right...about 3inches higher than gas pedal. Just feels squishy. Drums felt harder.
