I agree!!!!! There is a maximum thickness for filler(I've always heard around 1/8th inch)that up to it is totally fine, and it will last for a long time, but beyond that is where you run into problems. A big problem is there is a lot of bodymen who either don't know how to work the sheet metal properly, or just don't want to take the extra effort to rough it out better. Another thing is moisture getting to the filler from the backside, usually in a hacked rust repair, or using a screw in type dent puller. A saying an old bodyman told me when I was starting out "If you don't have time to do it right the first time, will you have time to do it a second time?" I know this doesn't apply to the Chevy II due to an unknowledgable customer, but still words I like to keep in mind.
