I really thought I was being Punked yesterday,, I never thought some one could actually be serious about screwing up that bad,,:rofl2:

Using an old screw driver as a chizzle he actually broke the bellhousing to get the bolts to go in,, when you look under the truck you see and inch and a half of bolt shaft,, well half of that,, its cut length wise,, and the bolt was on an angle,,,(y) Some serious Craftsman do exsist out there,,,,, Makes me feel better knowing that,,(y)

Could you Imagine taking your car to get an exhaust leak fixed and seeing a 2 pound ball of weld holding your (Y) pipe to the manifold,,?

Now this car belongs to my Bud and is a car for sale,, so some person would have purchased this thing and would have had a big suprise,,

I told him,,, He needs to keep an eye on these mechanics he hires,, walk in the service bay and just take a look at what they are up to,, But like he said,, he hires a mechanic and if he has to baby sit,, it takes time out of what he neds to be doing,,

    That is unbelieveably believeable.
When I worked at Pep Boys I had been collecting tools for years and years and aquired ASEs. They turned around and hired someone with a sewing bag full of hand tools off the streets at the same rate of pay as me. Sounds like he found his way over to you lol.

That seems to be a common issue at Chain stores:rofl2:

I have seen that a couple times.......maybe one in ten was a good mechanic that just happen to have his tools stolen and he is starting over..............

I don't blame the guy for wanting to land a good job. It's the management or owner, as in this case, that should be alert to the type of skills this person has. I was weeded out of that particular shop cause I wouldn't lend my tools to someone who didn't have tools I could borrow.
As for the guy wanting to weld a manifold to the block... he's a knucklehead and will continue traveling till he gets hurt. :drink:

:yikes::shocked::rofl2:What a complete idiot! I wonder if that hack of a mechanic is working in PA now. We are putting floors in a friends Jeep Cherokee. Once we got it up in the air Dale discovered that some moron had welded the rear shocks in place. I kid you not. If our friend ever has to replace the shocks he's going to have to have them cut out. I'll have to ask the Jeeps owner if his vehicle ever came from Ohio.

Not near as bad... shocks wear out faster than steering wheels!
