I had difficulty finding a full spool, and we wanted to build our rear end on the cheap side of things because eventually we will be building a 9" and swapping out the 8" we're building now. But I'm not planning on doing that until way down the road.

In reality the spool will take care of most of the spinning issues. It's easy to spin one tire not so easy to spin both.

oh sorry thought you already had a 9 inch in there. don't waste any money on the 8in rear expecally if you are going to put a 9in in there. leave it the way it is for now untill you get the 9in done then that money you were going to put in the 8in you can put somewhere else in the car towards a set of heads or something

Cash is tight, what little money we do have for a rearend wouldn't be enough to get a 9", rebuild it, buy gears and a full spool, and for the amount of HP and torque we're making an 8" shouldn't have any problem handling it. We already bought the gears and mini spool for the 8" so unfortunately it's a little late to try and build a 9". Later down the road (several years) when we're making more power we will look into a 9.
