Old cars are fun, but you've got to have reliable transportation to get to school, or work. If you have the time, money, and tools it's a great hobby, but an everyday car, shouldn't be a hobby.
You can't get a Focus or any other decent small car for $2500 around here. Since gas went over $3.00 a gallon everyone thinks small cars are made of gold. A Maverick was a great little car when brand new, but keeping one going these days requires a little patients and mechanical ability. Nope not a great only car but a wonderful second car.
Meh, I kind of agree, but they stopped making reliable cars in the mid-80s and didnt start again until around 2002. I swear I was sitting behind 3 Camry's the other day all 3 were different generations and the newest one was the 2005 model, running great and clean. the early 90s was knocking and smoking, and the late 90s early 00's was knocking. Same with so many cars built after 88. I've got a family member that does used cars and he claims to hate cars built after 2002/2005 because it's killing his business that they don't just break down at 150k like the 90s cars did.
