    Sort of back on topic...

I just put my Mav on a U-haul AutoTransport trailer, and the front is strapped down around each tire. The rear has a chain that just hangs, and I ran it through one of the rear leaf spring shackles and hooked it back onto itself, with a little slack.

Is this correct for securing the rear, or is there something else I should do?

I am not all that comfortable having the shackle wrapped with a chain, so any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I originally thought about going over the rear axle, but then the chain is sitting on my brake line...

I always tie my car down with 2 tie back straps in the front and 2 crossed ratchet tie downs in the back

I ended up just loosely wrapping the chain around the axle and putting a lock on it. Theft deterrent...

No strap down, but if we stop at a walmart, I might get a ratchet strap.
