Sorry, really stupid and obvious I know, but by looking at that pic, is it possible the jack is pulling/pulled it to that side as you jacked it up? If not, I'd say it's time to start looking hard at those motor mounts. Sounds like you may have gotten a 1 in a million defective one.
That crossed my mind too but the jack rolls freely.... I will double check the motor mounts next time I go to where the car is... Thanks everyone :Handshake
I'd loosen all the bolts on the stands and the through bolts on the mounts, then pull the tranny around to line it up, tighten it down first, then tighten everything else back.
I spent 4 hours trying to get a motormount from Auto Zone to work. I took it out of the car and still couldn't even get the bolt through it. It was made in Taiwan. Went to Napa and got a good one.
Update: after loosening all the mounting bolts, grinding some of the bolt holes out, and some persuasion.... I got it to line up correctly... Thanks everyone for your suggestions...
