    LOst trunk key. How to remove trunk lock?

    If your truck is now closed and locked, you can pull out the back seat and crawl in the truck with a flashlight and get it unlatched - then remove the lock cylinder

    I called Hagerty...they sent a locksmith, he made a new set of keys...free...:thumbs2:

    Push the bottom of the rear seat back towards the rear of the car and lift up - that will unlatch that section for you - then there are 2 bolts at the bottom of the back part of the rear seat - unbolt them and lift that section up and over their top retaining clips - remove the paper divider and in the trunk you go

    Once you crawl in the trunk...remove the screw on the side of this clip and remove the clip. Use a screwdriver to turn the latch

    Thank You! Hey, your Maverick is the same color as mine. Mine has a 302 with a C4 trans. Want to buy ir? It runs great. Its a 4 door, 106,000 mi., good tires. 2000.00 and live near Memphis, TN.

    My Son would enter the trunks of Mav/Comets in the salvage yard like that , looking for treasures...:yup:
