This might be a silly question but whats diffrent about turning the key forward to the on position. And turning it backwards past off until the steering wheel locks and the radio turns on aswell? Both look like they do the same thing.
Turning the key to the on position powers the cars ignition system. Turning it back to the accessories positions allows you to use radio, fan motor, etc., without energizing the ignition circuit. This keeps from overheating the points, coil, or ICM.
