All turn signals work on my 73 Maverick except the front right. The parking light works just not the turn signal. The turn indicator doesn't work for the right side either. The rear signal on the right side works, just not the front right side. I've changed the bulb twice so that's not the issue. Thanks for any suggestions.
At the lamp, pull the wiring connector plug and test for power there. That will tell you if it is a lamp issue or power supply issue. I have seen where the housing has lost its ability to ground because of corrosion where the lamp socket is pressed into the housing. There was enough contact to let the lower powered parking lamp light up but not enough of a ground for the higher current drawing turn signal to light up. But first, see if you have power to the lamp at that connector.
If the right dash indicator operates, problem is between firewall and socket. Cluster indicators are operated from same voltage source as front signals.
OK, at this point it's worth checking for the voltage to operate light(s). On crescent shaped plug extending from the steering column, there should be a white/blue stripe wire. This is voltage to dash & front signal. A test light connected to wire would be best, but possibly can use meter. Plug must remain connected for test, so trimming insulation to expose wire is going to be best bet, tape up when finished. Before anything, try unplugging connecter and reconnect, could be loose or have a poor contact. On #8 post of this thread I posted a switch wiring diagram. Power supply is probably not correct for your Mav(think this is a '76) but the color coding should be same. http://mmb.maverick.to/threads/signal-cam-hazard-issue.119448/#post-1141571
