    I mounted mine in the package tray, nx to the ac vents. Can't say how well they will work there but sure they will do better than where I had them - in the center of the 5.25's in kick panels. I am process of workin on them. If im not satisfied I will relocate them higher.

    Ok, so now you know I have to ask, what's the story on those vents?

    what's the story on those vents?

    The story is I did'nt want to fiddle w/ the old ones trying to replace the felt in them, so I replaced them and heater "tubing"ducts, that had dry rotted. I had the heater box and pack tray out, so this was the time. I have the old vents and probably will keep them for a while. Ultimately, I will be parting w/ them if the new one's work out. BTW - since this pic was taken I have fill the space between the vent and the tray w/ blk vinyl, so the opening is no longer there.
    I like the newer more compact look and style. If ur interested I will get u the link?

    Thanks, I am interested. I would like to replace my OEM vents. I like the way they look, but functionally they just aren't that great. Can't keep them aimed.
