Unisteer Rack and Pinion Steering

The bumpsteer is gone, the ride is much improved. As far as the measurement, I have to wait for the snow to melt so it might take a couple days.

is there any lost motion (slop) in the steering?

 

No slop at all, it is very responsive.

Any one have one of these? What's the steering effort like? I want one with some decent resistance for a high performance feel.

I have one and have a separate install thread going here but it hasn't been updated in awhile. I'm still tweaking things on my setup before I make a final write-up and call it good.

There is not a stiff resistance with this kit. It will steer like your modern day car (that still used the PS pump and not electro-steer).

A little over a year later and what are your thoughts on the kit. I'm still on the fence about purchasing one. Did I read right that you had to remove the long tubes. Thanks

 

I have the kit. Jordan and I did a test fit last week. It fits like a glove to the car, replaces the stock belly bar and saves some weight. Unfortunately, too early to say much more until I reinstall the powertrain.

It works great and I still have my long tube headers on with no problems.

 

Would you add anything or change anything. I've got a coil over TCP coil over setup now up front.

 

I replaced the high pressure hose that came with the kit that used AN fittings with a custom made crimped end hose that holds more pressure.
