So I will do an electric fan conversion however, like I said before I don't have money on me now and there are other things that need to be done on the car that are a bit more important. I'll have to keep that fan I have now and wait until I get the new one. Don't worry i'll be careful, but for the future can someone tell me where or how to setup the electric fan?

Lots of info. here on that type setup. You can do a search on Taraus fan installation and get all the info you desire. That way you will be ahead of this game when you change.

The stock V8 fan does sit a bit above the radiator core. A factory shroud rises up a bit at the top, above the core.

If the fan were to break, no piece of plastic(shroud) will help much... Seen picts where blades were sticking through the hood...

    Hey Jony:
It's me again .. about that flex fan .. I can understand there is a financial aspect to the "flex-fan" return.. However,
the fans have Proven to be dangerous and I'd recommend another alternative .. I still have a NEW flex fan still in the box that I'll never use or sell .. I planned to install it on a Comet but after I heard of my friends untimely departure due to the Flex Fan I installed Electric Fans and Shroud . Just my humble opinion .. Can the Fan !!

Alright guys so I finally found a fan but I am not sure if the one I found is the right one. The one I took the fan off of was a 2003 Ford Taurus and it's ~15" dia. yet i'm not sure if it is a 2 speed! I've found one similar to the one everyone else is using but I only have so much space between the radiator and the pulleys. If I used the one everyone else used it wouldn't fit and it would hit the pilot on the pulley. The first two pictures are on the one I bought and the third is the comparison to the one everyone else is using. Should I keep searching or stay with the one I have? I have 31 days to exchange it for another one
