First On Race Day Flag to flag domination... A win scored at the first annual Jimmy "Porky" Edwards Jr memorial race. Porky racked up 400 victories starting in the late 70's, a balls out dirt racer who knew the value of the fans. He brought atleast 20 bikes to give away to the kids at about every racetrack he competed at. Hook 'em young as the local drug dealer says lol. Got some nice hardware to display and a lil cash.
Mad Maveric wins again On the pole by a full second. Flag to flag battle with one of those pesky Chevys. Man I'm luvin our Maverick.
burnt 3 speed 4th place finish... now second in points. Not sure if i ran the wrong oil, it was full and clean when drained. But it sure as sh't locked 1st gear onto the mainshaft. Gonna install the 4 speed this week, gotta lift the lid and check it out. Anybody know what to look for as far as problems inside the later model toploader 4 spds? Wanted to put the Mav on the dyno this week but dont believe time is on my side. No sheet metal damage this week woohoo, but tranny rebuild and swap is gonna eat up time as well as gettin the F600 ready to tow to the track...
Transmission ready A 67 fairlane 3 spd cleaned painted ready to install. Swapped the rear housing and front snout as it is machined for hydralic clutch slave. Mother nature agrees, ill be off to Fayetteville Motor Speedway tomorrow afternoon!
Sounds like you're having a great time. Good luck and keep it going. Remember....Dirt is for racing. Asphalt is for parking! Since I drag race... Asphalt is for racing. Dirt is for farming.
This is one of the cars that I built. It had enough trouble getting out of the trailer in the dirt, let along running on it.
