I'm considering switching to Maverick specific frame and motor mounts if it will gain more oil filter clearance. Here is my current setup, which I believe is: 60-65 falcon/64-65 mustang frame, intermediate, and motor mounts. The clearance for the oil filter is tight against the shock tower(the po appears to have hammered some clearance into the tower).

Excuse the poor wiring and plumbing done by the po, I'm working on cleaning it up.

you can get a right angle oil filter adaptor. google it. it will make it easy to get the filter on and off. its an easier way to fix your problem.

I would spend the extra dollars and do it right. Auto Krafter should have everything you need.

If not, you could also get the shorter filter that was used on the '89 SSP Mustangs (Bosch 3402)

or a remote located oil filter. I run a 1.4 qt. one on my car just to get the extra oil capacity...
