    If you have a 200 in the car now you will either want to upgrade to a C4 from a 250 or 302 or have the one you have in the car built with new clutch drums for at least 4 clutches in the direct pack (I prefer 5) and 5 clutches in the forward clutch drum (I prefer 6). Then add an auxillary transmission cooler. You will need a new radiator - the hose sizes are different between the 200 and 302 - you might find one from a 250 car they are the same as the V8 cars. It is a lot of work to do for someone else but if your son will do the work with you he might gain some respect for what it takes to fix the car - especially if he has to cover some or all of the expense.
