v8 swap

    i just got a 1971 302 for my v8 swap
    i have a 170 in my mav so do i need a 28oz 157 tooth flex plate for my c4 along with a v8 bellhousing.

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    Yes a 28 oz 157 tooth flex plate and bell housing should do you.Dont forget the V-8 frame stands and motor mounts.Trans mount should be good to go though.Your gonna need a bigger radiator too.Good luck!!!

    oh one more question will the balence be affected if i put a stroker kit in? making me need a differant weight

    Wouldn't a stroked engine need to be balanced to begin with? I would think you would need to get the stroker kit and either get a kit that is already balanced or get it balanced at the shop. I have never stroked an engine so I am just asking for my benefit and his.
    By the way Seth, nice truck. I really like that color scheme. I used to have a red and white 76 F150 4x4 but she was a trail dog and beat all to pieces. My 71 F100 2wd is my DD
