Vacuum Modulator?

    the 2-3 flare .....do you have the kick down on it ??seen them get pushed one way to far and flare

    Kickdown is off and sold to someone who needed it. It wouldn't fit with my new manifold without bending it all up. Plus, I don't like anything on the car that is not really needed. I usually manually shift, but sometimes I want to "cruise" with my hands free, which is why I am messing with this now.

    I got the 2-3 flare after doing some mods (drilling out holes) in my valve body for a home made shift kit.

    i've always been told kick should be hooked up on a street/strip valve body. something about the line pressures. could just be another of those old wives tales. if you mostly shift it manually, why not get a rev manual vb? you'll looove the shifts if you get a good one.

    i ALWAYS manual shift mine.... no kick down used at all.. never had one...

    i would suggest that you set it up for about 2500-2800 shift point... that way it wont seem to shift so fast all the time...

    also the faulty mod could have been the cause.. but at least you found that it was bad, and you replaced it before it did something major...
