I have had a couple of people message me and ask how I have found my sets of vent shades over the past few months so I figured I would post this for anyone who is looking for a set. Sometimes you will get lucky and find them on google and Ebay by this part number. Usually they will just list the part number and will not state they are for a maverick/comet. I have found three NOS sets this way, happy hunting.

Perhaps if they get enough calls to bring back part # F-105??

I didn’t realize they were still in business. Might be interesting to see if they could bring back the product. It took me a long time to find my three sets and that was mostly due to luck.

I think I may have a set in the attic, still in the box. What are these worth?

If they are NOS they can range from $100-$150. If they are used then they can range from $40-60 depending on condition.

Do they even make metal ones anymore? Looks like all the make are plastic ones.

Last week I contacted Lund International, who purchased Auto Ventshade Company back in 1998 about F-105 for
our Mav/Comets, this is the reply I just got.........

"Unfortunately Auto Ventshade company had already discontinued this part number prior to our acquisition of the company back in 1998. As a result we never gained access to the designs, patents, molds, etc. for this part. It is possible that they could still be found online through third party sellers. Let me know if you have any questions or need anything else."

So I guess someone out there still has the original patterns/tooling or it got destroyed/lost..........

I would love to see these in production! If they need a NOS set or a copy of the instructions and mounting clips let me know. If it will help get them back on the market I would be willing to ship up a set.
