Man you guys got wolloped!!! Glad to hear your all in one piece. People drive like morons...Spend more time playing with their techno crap gadgets in their techno tin cans than actually trying to drive their cars and pay attention to the road. Too bad the mav got wasted. It looks pretty well bent from the b pillars back. Heal up guys!!! I'm sure the next car will be killer cool.
Wow sorry about the car, and definitely glad you guys made it through realitively unharmed. But remember if either one of you feel any back pain at all go get checked out, a buddy of mine had this happen to him and it ruptured a few of his vertebre in his back due too the whiplash.
Glad you guys walked away, might not feel like crawling out of bed tomorrow, just get checked out by th Dr. Don't want something showing up in a few months/ years because of it.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. i am lucky that i did not kill that little girl driving that jetta. i came close to punching her in the face. i jumped out pretty quickly and went over to her car. she was on the phone when i got there. she had to have been on the phone not paying attention. there were no skid marks so she defiantly wasn't paying attention to the road. my AAA insurance has been great so far. im sure the car is going to be declared wrecked. im working with really good body shop and my business partner is an ex-insurance guy so they will help me get what the car is truly worth. the fuel cell cracked. haven't looked for where it cracked. next fuel cell will be a fuel safe with a bladder. the fuel pump was hanging on the ground. both wheels on the passenger side have the lips bent in. the rear was on the inside the front was on the out side. we were able to pound the rear rim back into shape well enough to seat the bead and put air in it. we couldn't get the front back into shape. we put one of mo's wheels on the front so we could move the car around and it rolls easily. this shows that the rear end is not bent badly if at all . you can see where the cage starts in the car by dents in quarter panels. that's where the shock load stopped. i am glad i have the cage, race seats and 5 point harnesses. the good news is that there will be a big rebuilding thread with lots of juicy pics for all to enjoy. thanks to everybody for there best wishes and concerns.
