Just saw this post now.WOW. My stomach is in knots. this is my biggest fear also. There are tons people up here using cell phones and not paying attention.Hope you and all passengers recover fine and sue that broads A@# off. The only way to smarten people up is to empty their pockets. Make it hard for them to get insurance. Up here now ,1 accident that you are at fault, your insurace goes up no matter how long you have had no claims. Not fair but the stupid drivers make us all pay. Again I,m glad all walked away but keep on top of the back problems. Good luck:)

    Bryant,

Sorry to hear about the insurance troubles and didn't realize you had the whiplash issue to contend with. You just never know about insurance companies and getting a lawyer really sucks!
I have racers insurance on my Maverick and trailer for $30k and just wonder how hard it would be to collect if I had an accident while trailering the car or it was stolen, or burnt to the ground in my garage....all of which are covered in the policy.
Hopefully everything will turn out for the positive.

Insurance and warranties... I hate 'em both with a passion! They'll ever so gladly take your premiums and always give you grief on a claim. Of course, that's the only way they can afford to build 90 story office buildings and have corporate jets...

the car was spun 180 degrees from the impact. it rotated around on that rim. i suspect the tire was pulled off it bead and the rim grinded on the ground. i allso suspect that the car went decently air borne.

That's even more testament to the roll cage's value. Maybe I'll even put one in my wife's Kia. The things we must go through to protect ourselves from idiots.

After seeing the damage and knowing the potential of how much worse it could have been, I'm also seriously thinking of putting a cage in the Red GT if I go more street than stock. Either way, subframe connectors will be getting installed!

I'm glad everyone walked away from the accident and you didn't get hurt worse than you are!
