I've been shifting @ 7500 rpm, and trap at 8000 rpm. the engine has been
on a chassis dyno to 8400, still making power.

    ray-g151,

It would be interesting to compare motors. The motor in my Mav was built by CHP back in 98..................not sure how many hours it has but don't think it has been apart since then. I am about to pull the intake off to fix
an oil leak at the back of the manifold so I will get a peak inside the valley. I've had the valve covers off to set the rockers and that is about it.
Mine is a 408 stroker, Crower cam, Lobe seperation is 108degrees, duration on the intake is 307/exhaust is 311 with 704 lift on intake and exhaust, it is a solid roller. The heads are TFS-R and not really sure of chamber size or valve size, but the motor has 15:1 CR. It has Probe pistons and rods (I was told), a billet SCAT crank with MPG windage tray and main girdle. It has an Edelbrock Super Victor Jr. with reworked 850 Holley (done by the Carb Shop) that now flows 1030cfm. Has some 1-3/4" Dawson equal length headers made for the TFS-R high ports and actually runs through "race" mufflers. The car has a 2sp Powerglide by Mike's Transmissions and a 9" with 4:56 and spool. The car has gone 9.90's, and I saw time slips when I bought the car of 10.5's and these were done with a throttle stop. When I take the car out for the first time (for me it's been 20+ years since I've been on a strip) I'll start off slow and work my way up.
Depending on how things go this season I will tear the motor down this winter to freshen it up...................or.......................

It has gone 6.62 it the 8th. The crank is forged , all my short blocks come from DSS. The rotating assembly was used from Anderson's project
    mustang.
