At one time I had the lowest, and highest listed vin'd 73 Mavericks from Kansas still on the road..
I can look in my books from St.Thomas, and tell you the exact dates Maverick production stated at St.Thomas, and Kansas. St.Thomas was first, since it was the pilot plant.

    You are in, my friend!(y)

Apparently, one of my parts cars was the last VIN'd 77 on this board!
Did I just used VIN as a verb???:hmmm:

You wouldn't happen to have any 80-year-old neighbours who worked at the plant that would remember the exact date when they started using the column-mounted switches would you?:Handshake

That is good information (y) I started a couple of threads in past years concerning my very late build date and it still being a 69.5 and I never did find a 69.5 built later than mine- - -yet :)

You're doing a terrific job compiling all of this data - with all of this data, pretty soon we won't be needing Kevin Marti because we'll have Paul Masson - he'll be able to tell you how many dents were in your original muffler from the car bouncing around on the car carrier :rofl2:

In the neighborhood I live in, at one time almost everyone worked at St.Thomas.
Over the years, I've acquired many factory fresh parts, my wiper blades were still wrapped in plastic, in my neighbors basement...ties rods, bumperettes, gas caps, emblems, screws, you name it.
I even have the engineering books for the start up of the Maverick, and the year to year change over books up to 1972. Some people have seen the pictures date 1967, where the Maverick has Falcon emblems, and it's labelled as the "1970 Falcon"

You need to subtract 100000, 100001 is the 1st car...

If VINs started at 000001, you wouldn't be subtracting the first car...

I've decided to add my VIN to the database.
    69.5 Maverick #0X91T110853
This was my dads company car in '69. He was an engineer for Ford and purchased it from the outlet lot after he had the shop install a '71 Boss 302 prototype engine.

Maverocket, your interesting 69.5 is on the list. (Refer To POST #243)

I wouldn't mind hearing more about your car's 'Heritage' if you would like to share. Is it still Boss-equipped?

Do you have any pictures of the car with the Boss still in it? I know my Cleveland sure filled up the stock engine compartment :tiphat:

I'm not aware of any pics with the Boss in it. I can give my dad a call and see if he may have some stashed away somewhere. It had cast iron manifolds and a C4.
