QUOTE my" three cars that i plan to keep have the following VIN's.... so if your car was built at the same assembly plant as mine, in the same year, then check your last 6 and see how close you are!

    1971 2dr: 1K91F229142
    1973 4dr: 3K92F156639
    1973 2dr: 3K93F178258

Check this out mine is 1K93L230504 WOOO! DO I WIN LOL:wow:
Now what would be nice is if the cars spent time on the assembly line together...bring them back together some odd years later and let them relive old times hehehe.

Im getting there....lol, I spent an hour or so the other night decoding VINS only to realize that it wasnt the best way to sort the list, so I scrapped the idea.

The only thing I dont like is sometimes the codes change around depending on the years, but I got pretty much the popular plants memorized and most of the model body styles (y)

Glad you knew that. I had no idea. I knew it was originally a column-shift with a small motor but thats about it. No sign of a data plate anywhere on this car so I'm going off the VIN to figure out the orignal package.
